Adopted 11/18/25 by Old Station Fire Company. Firewise USA® asks every recognized site for a written, prioritized action plan drawn from its risk assessment. Ours is published here as a living document — updated as work is completed rather than rewritten once a year.
About our community
Our local community is located within the wildland urban interface and intermix in the Lassen National Park area, roughly outlined by the CA-44/89 road from the entrance to Lassen National Park going north to the turnoff for Susanville on CA-44. This plan was developed through input received during the Spring 2025 Firewise Assessment and an after-action review of the Dixie and Park Fires that affected our community. The goal of the plan is to develop a strategy to incrementally outreach, educate, and implement efforts to make our neighborhood and the surrounding area more fire resilient. As a community we understand a wildfire in our area is not a matter of "if" but when, and it is our responsibility to be prepared for that day.
